BANGALOW PUBLIC SCHOOL PICK UP

Amy will be waiting on the deck, under the big tree, next to the cola to collect our students. We will then walk up to the A&I Hall, where we can change, have a snack and prepare for our classes. If your child's class is scheduled after the first class of the day, they are welcome to sit and watch or do their homework in the hall. Both halls will be supervised.
If you would like your child to be collected, please contact Amy if you have not already done so.
Invoices will be sent in week 2 and 3 of Term 1. This will allow for any changes and class shuffling that may occur. Invoices are to be paid within 14 days. Late payments will incur a $30 late fee and and any unpaid invoices by week 10 will result in cancelled enrolment.
Please email your Creative Kids and Active Kids Vouchures along with you childs date of birth to
Our new uniform will be available for purchase in the coming weeks. It is compolsory to wear the Studio Uniform at Dance Lab. We beleive uniforms cultivate a sense of unity and belonging, two important aspects of a successful school. We would like our dancers to take pride in their appearance and represent themselves and our school beautifully amongst the community.
Our uniforms are supplied by Energetiks. They are made from high quality, long lasting fabrics and are proudly made in Australia.
Order forms are available at both studios or can be downloaded HERE.
There has been a slight change to the Saturday timetable please take note if your dancers attend on Saturdays.
A NOTE FROM AMY
If your child is in Kindergarten, Year 1 or Year 2, I would highly recommend dancing on a Saturday. Over the years I have taught many young students on various days and have seen more focus and improvement from Saturday students. Coming fresh in the morning, compared to the end of a school day can also affect their enjoyment of dance. I realize this is not always possible for families but something to think about.
Have a fabulous first week and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Hello, and welcome to Dance Lab Studios.
For those of you who may have missed the announcement at the Evening performance of ‘Worlds United’. I am the new owner and director of Dance Lab.
I wanted to take this opportunity to first congratulate our beautiful students on a very successful year and magnificent concert. Also, to introduce myself and let you know a little about me.
Originally from Sydney, I have been training since the age of 4 in all styles of dance. I was accepted into Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, the leading performing arts high school in Australia, then went on to complete my Certificate 4 at Brent Street. My time at Brent Street earned me a place with Sydney’s top dance agency.
I worked as a professional dancer for 6 years dancing behind stars such as Kylie Minogue, Marcia Heinz and Chris Isaac, as well as touring with children’s entertainment shows The Powerpuff Girls and The Noddy Show. Soon after, I found my true love back in the class room teaching and sharing my knowledge with my students.
In 2006 I opened Dance Chora Randwick with 20 students. Over 12 years we built our school to be one of the most reputable in the eastern suburbs and to house over 300 students.
After the birth of my second baby, Sage, I decided to sell Dance Chora and move to Byron Bay to be closer to family and join the team at Dance Lab. From my first day I felt the fire reignite in my belly. I was inspired. I admired the passion, dedication and potential in the students and felt immediately excited about what I could bring to the table.
My long term goal is to create a performing arts centre equivalent to the schools you find in the city. Somewhere all children and young adults can learn the art of dance, performance and to realise their dreams.
I believe in an all inclusive dance school where students feel supported, nurtured and a part of a community. From experience, I know that this is the environment that will allow young performers to thrive.
Thank you for your kind words and for making me feel so welcome. I cannot wait to start working with the students of Dance Lab Studios and to see what the future holds for us.
Our new website will go live on Monday 9th of December where you will find our 2020 timetable and enrolment information. All students must re enrol to secure their place.
Enjoy navigating and I look forward to seeing you all next year!
